Our courses are led by highly qualified, experienced trainers and delivered in a flexible learning environment designed to fit around operational needs. We specialise in hands-on training across First Aid, Conflict Management, Fire Safety and Manual Handling — using realistic, workplace-relevant scenarios to ensure learning is engaging, memorable and immediately applicable.
Emergencies don’t follow a 9–5 schedule, which is why our training goes beyond theory and box-ticking. We give people the skills and confidence to respond calmly and professionally to medical emergencies, challenging situations and everyday health and safety risks — whether in a workplace, educational setting, leisure facility or healthcare environment.
Training at METT is friendly, approachable and highly interactive, creating an environment where learners feel confident to ask questions, practise skills and build real competence. This practical, learner-focused approach underpins our 100% pass rate across all courses and reflects our commitment to training that doesn’t just meet standards — it makes a genuine difference.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be physcially fit to attend a first aid course?
You must be able to demonstrate effective CPR in order to pass the practical assessments to gain your nationally recognised qualification. You can still attend a course if you are unable to do so and will be given a certificate of attendance.
Do I really need first aid training for my workplace?
Yes. Under the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, employers have a legal duty of care to ensure adequate First Aid provision based on their risk assessment. Proper training helps you stay compliant and ensures staff can respond confidently in an emergency.
How long does a First Aid certificate last?
Most workplace First Aid certificates are valid for 3 years. The HSE strongly recommends an annual refresher to keep skills fresh and confidence high between requalifications.
Can the training be delivered at our premises?
Absolutely. On site training is often the most convenient and cost effective option. It allows scenarios to be tailored to your environment and reduces staff travel time. It allows the trainer to use your environment as part of the learning experience. We just need suitable space for the practical elements of the course and to be able to show a presentation, whether on a screen or blank wall.
Can you do first aid training online?
First Aid is a highly practical skill and you'll practise CPR and AED, recovery position, choking response and control of bleeding amongst others. It's important that you leave feeling confident in your new skills. We believe face to face first aid training is more beneficial for our learners and we run scenarios based on your environment.
Why would my business benefit from Manual Handling training?
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reports that poor manual handling is one of the leading causes of workplace injury. Training reduces the risk of back injuries, absenteeism and long term musculoskeletal problems, saving your business time and money in the long run.
Is manual handling just about lifting boxes?
No, it covers pushing and pulling, carrying, posture, workstation setup and everyday movements that cause strain over time.
Who is Fire Warden or Fire Marshal training recommended for?
Fire safety training is relevant for any business or organisation. Designated persons are responsible for fire safety risk assessments and reducing risks in the workplace. Fire Wardens or Marshals learn the protocols on managing day to day risks, evacuation procedures and the correct extinguisher to use for different types of fires.
Is conflict management training only for security staff?
Conflict Management training is essential for anyone in a public facing role - schools, healthcare, leisure, reception staff and customer service. You learn how to recognise early warning signs and how to de escalate situations, keeping yourself and others safe. Early intervention and confident responses reduce complaints and staff stress.
