Our team make the training engaging and fun but most of all relevant to your workplace or environment and you will leave the course with the skills and confidence to deal with an emergency situation or how to minimise risks in everyday life.

Mike Neary - Managing Director
Mike served 22 years in the RAF Regiment, learning how to hone his leadership and first aid skills while a recruit training instructor and station defence advisor. He holds a BA Hons in Education and a Cert Ed, enabling him to lecture in various fields. Mike was awarded a commendation in the New Years Honours List for meritorious service in the field of operational training. After leaving the service he became Course Team Leader at a College of Further Education, a role that included professional and personal development of staff, mentoring and coaching new lecturers through their PGCE. METT Ltd was launched in 2006, offering first aid training, but the company quickly developed and expanded and now runs an increasingly diverse range of courses.

Ann-Marie Neary - Director
After many years supporting educational establishments, Ann-Marie joined the company as Office Manager, overseeing all the qualification paperwork and quality assurance for our awarding body. She is a qualified first aid assessor and internal quality assurer, responsible for maintaining the high standards among our trainers. She deals with all the course and trainer bookings as well as representing the company at business and networking events. She is usually the first person you will speak to when you book your course.
Ann-Marie's role in the business
Ann-Marie is a qualified first aid assessor and IQA for our accredited first aid courses.
She also holds an IOSH qualification in Health & Safety and is our designated First Aider for Mental Health in the Workplace

Gary Payne - Trainer & First Aid Lead
After completing 22 years in the RAF Regiment, 12 of those years as a trainer, Gary left to pursue a career as a paramedic. After a short spell, he was invited to train personnel in First Aid Skills. Gary has taught on all levels of the first aid at work syllabus. He also teaches Advanced Life Support (ALS), Automated External Defibrillation (AED), Manual Handling, Sports Injuries and Paediatric courses for schools and nurseries. He is a qualified FA football coach and sports medic, Emergency Care on Pitch Side (ECOPS), coaches youth football and is also a sports therapist for an RAF Veterans team.

Roger Palethorpe - Trainer and Health & Safety Lead
Roger served for 18 years in the RAF Regiment. Whilst an instructor on Recruit Training he taught various skills. He holds a BA Hons in Education, Cert Ed and numerous other qualifications enabling him to deliver training in various fields. He is a qualified trainer in First Aid, including Oxygen therapy, AED (defibrillation)and paediatric first aid. He also delivers health and safety training, covering manual handling (people as well as loads), fire safety and is a qualified first aid for mental health instructor. Roger delivers training to our schools and NHS clients in these areas.

Allan Dennis - Trainer & Fire Safety Lead
After spending seven years in the Royal Navy as an Able Seaman and Weapons Instructor, Allan joined the London Fire Brigade in 1990.
He is a qualified first aid instructor, as well as teaching oxygen therapy, AED and paediatric first aid. Allan has extensive knowledge as a Fire and Evacuation trainer from 25 years operational experience as a firefighter.

Rabi Pradhan - First Aid and Manual Handling Trainer
After 10 years of service in the 6th Queen Elizabeth’s Own Gurkha Rifles, Rabi was involved in aviation security for 25 years, 7 years of which was in training. He then trained adults into employment at an FE college. He worked with the 2012 Olympics Committee which led to a project developing training for an international firm delivering their First Aid, Manual Handling and Fire Safety training.
Rabi delivers training in the above for our long term contracts.
